About this Office:
The Food Service program serves approximately 3,500 lunches daily. During the 2005-06 school year, we implemented a new system. Instead of cash registers, we now use computers. There are no more breakfast/lunch tickets. You can set up an account for your child's use for breakfast, lunch and snacks.
The school lunch menu will feature puzzles, games and facts imparting nutrition information, recipes and meal plans to make healthy eating fun--now and in the future.
The price of lunch for 2008-09 will be $1.25 per day. Breakfast will be $0.80 per day.
Nutrition meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month at the Administration Building, 135 Elmont Road. Parents, teachers, and students contribute to menu planning. Menu-planning meetings with our cooks take place once a month at the same location.
Nutritition requirements and standards, as required by New York State, are met or exceeded by our menu.
Please contact the School Lunch Office if you have any questions or suggestions.
