The Elmont Union Free School district strives to provide a safe environment and strong educational curriculum for our students. Accordingly, the Personnel Office’s aim is to recruit the best available candidates for the betterment of the District and community.

Employment opportunities at Elmont are available in all areas of Administration, Elementary School Teaching, Classified, Substitute and Seasonal. Applications can be picked up in the Personnel Office, on the first floor
of the Administration Building, Wednesdays between the hours of 9 a.m. and 12 p.m.
Administrative and Certified staff require certification by New York State. Resumes are accepted continuously.
Classified staff, which includes titles such as Clerical, Custodial, Maintenance, Transportation, Teacher Aides, Security and Food Service Handlers, require civil service approval and are governed by the Nassau County Civil Service Commission. Specific requirements for each position can be obtained in the Personnel Office.
The Elmont Union Free School District follows strict legislation, which requires all school district employees to be fingerprinted for a criminal history background check. Upon appointment to any position in the District the Personnel Office will assist in making these fingerprint arrangements.
