To strengthen the bond between home and school and create lasting memories, Covert Avenue School hosted a heartwarming Special Persons Day for its youngest scholars in Pre-K on November 25.

The event began with a vibrant welcome as parents, grandparents and other important family members were greeted by beaming smiles from eager students, excited to share their classroom with their loved ones.

Together with their special guests, the students crafted festive Thanksgiving turkeys and fall-themed paintings to take home as treasured keepsakes. The fun didn’t stop there as the students entertained their families with a lively holiday freeze dance.

Principal Mary Natoli expressed excitement about the day’s success and announced that more family-centered activities are in the works, ensuring that families continue to be an integral part of their children’s school experiences.
