Third grade students at Dutch Broadway School recently took part in the school’s annual Math Match. This year, classes used Kahoot!, an interactive, competitive, computer-based game platform for the competition. Students answered questions taken from previous New York State exams. They were actively engaged by reading the math problems that appeared on the Smart Board, and were given two minutes to solve them and select the correct answer on their tablets. Problem-solving strategies and solutions were discussed, making this a great way for students to review math skills and concepts while having a friendly competition.
