Covert Avenue Kindergartners Celebrate 100 Days of School
On Feb. 25, kindergartners at Covert Avenue School celebrated the 100th day of school by dressing as 100-year-old people.
Students in Samantha Magaraci, Diane McKiernan, Dr. Valerie Reese and Karen Smith’s classes wore large glasses, wigs and cardigans, as well as 100th-day headbands and hats. They also participated in special activities throughout the day, such as creating a paper chain made of 100 links, making necklaces out of 100 Froot Loops and filling out “After 100 days in kindergarten I can…” sheets. They also displayed collages with 100 Goldfish crackers, 100 pom poms and other items.
The kindergartners were all smiles as they celebrated this milestone day at school!
