Covert Avenue School students promoted kindness and messages of antibullying by celebrating Unity Day on Oct. 21.
Students and staff throughout the building wore orange to show support. Additionally, the sixth graders banded together to decorate the school’s sidewalk with positive images and words of encouragement, including “Accept others as they are” and “Let me help you help the world” for the community to enjoy.
“It was our sincere hope to use these words of positivity to help change someone’s world forever,” Principal Mary Natoli said. “Remember, kindness is a superpower!”
