Elmont Union Free School District

On Dec. 9, scholars from each school across the district enjoyed a heartwarming holiday tradition: Shop with a Cop. Each SEL team worked thoughtfully to identify 4-5 students from their building to participate in this special outing.

Students were paired with officers from the Nassau County Police Department for a memorable shopping experience at Target in Valley Stream, selecting toys and items needed for the holiday and winter season. 

A sincere thank you goes out to Target and the police department for their generosity, time and commitment to our students. Their support made this day possible and created memories our students will carry with them for years to come.
