Covert Avenue School’s Pre-K Students Learn About the Science of Bubbles

Covert Avenue School’s pre-K students recently discovered the science behind a fun summer play activity — bubbles. They participated in an engaging, hands-on educational experience presented by the Long Island Children’s Museum called Bubble POP!
During the interactive program, the youngest scholars explored the science of bubbles through exciting demonstrations and hands-on activities. They learned how bubbles are formed, experimented with bubbles of different shapes and sizes, created colorful bubble art, and learned why bubbles are always round.
The students used a variety of materials to create their own bubbles while thinking like scientists and sharing their observations. The program provided a fun and meaningful opportunity to spark curiosity, encourage exploration and foster learning through play.
“This memorable experience was a wonderful way to celebrate a successful school year and the growth of our pre-K students while bringing science to life in a way they will not soon forget,” Principal Alison Gunn said.
