Vision Statement

Technology is a learning tool used to support, expand, and enrich curriculum based instruction. It meshes seamlessly in our spiraling educational process to foster creativity and communication while addressing a variety of learning styles and levels. Technology education is an ongoing process equipping our students with the life skills they will need for success today, and in the competitive world of tomorrow.

District Goals

Educational technology shall include all electronic tools and telecommunications services that advance the educational mission of our school district by facilitating the process of gathering, interpreting, representing, managing, and communicating information, solving problems, expressing creativity and ideas, and understanding concepts and content.

Technology Education Program

The District affords students hands-on experiences with iPads beginning in Pre-kindergarten and continuing through sixth grade. Additionally, networked computers with Internet access and interactive SMARTboards are available in each classroom to encourage the integration of technology into the curriculum. Enhance Differentiated Instruction - Through the implementation of a mobile device-based curriculum, students will be able to work independently on a variety of customized apps downloaded and purchased to his/her iPad. The individual learning plans will consist of apps that include videos, quizzes, and learning activities aligned to the NYS Standards. These plans will reflect the students' needs based on assessment data results in ELA and Math, as well as other school-based assessments.

During the 2022-2023 school year, the District will be replacing and replenishing all student and staff iPads in grades 5 and 6. Additionally, 25 special area and academic support service classrooms  will receive a brand-new, state-of-the-art interactive SMART Flat Panels.
